Do you have a sweet tooth? Do you like the idea of discussions of mental health being less taboo? Well the Depressed Cake Shop is for you!
This Summer the Depressed Cake Shop, a social justice pop up of melancholy edible delights, comes to Meow Wolf to raise awareness and funds for local mental health resources through the sale of baked goods (in a grayish color scheme)!
100% of the proceeds (that's all of 'em) will be donated to local mental health resources to increase the availability of free counseling services. We'll have information on hand about some low cost, sliding scale, and free services in case it would help you, your friends, or loved ones.
Come on down to the learning center (to the right of the front desk) from noon to six and grab a slice of awesome. If you're interested in baking or helping us out (this is a 100% volunteer event) please visit: https://missberlinette.typeform.com/to/SVYq6I and we'll be in touch (also thank you thank you!)
Can't make the event on the 16th? Don't sweat it! We'll be hosting another event with a tracks by Commodore 256 and a gamelan ensemble (YEP!) on May 20th. More on that event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/214046582695684/?active_tab=about
