Love Lady Dynamite? Binging BoJack Horseman? Then you know that the comedy world is throwing down some of the most realistic, multi-dimensional portrayals of mental illness in pop culture right now. Laughter is incredibly healing, and finding the funny can be a way out of the darkness.
On World Bipolar Day (www.worldbipolarday.org), local comedians, humorists, and storytellers share their personal experiences navigating bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety with humor and heart.
Organized by the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD), HumoRx’s ticket sales will benefit the Arcade Comedy Theater and the ISBD's Patient Programs.
Enjoy treats from local bakers at our mini Depressed Cake Shop, and chat with the performers after the show in our Extended Release lounge.
